Clay Art
Manipulating clay has to be one of the most satisfying art forms around...transforming a mound of maliable material into a sculpture or functional piece that once glazed and fired can potentially last a lifetime or more. Learn different techniques of working with clay including using clay tools and found objects to create texture and designs. Learn the basic tehniques like pinching pots, making coils, and rolling slabs. Learn about different clays, glazes and firing temperatures.
Pricing
Within King County: $35 base rate plus $15 per child/$25 per adult.
Outside King County: $50+ base rate plus $15 per child/$25 per adult.
After school program pricing varies. Please call for an estimate.
Kids Parties
Includes 30 min for hand-building piece and 30min for glazing. $150min. Birthday parties at "The Basement Studio" include an additional 45min to accomodate cake & gift opening.
Adult Parties
Includes up to 1 hour for hand-building and 30min for glazing. $225min.
